Bookings, Cancellation & Travel Policies

At Dahabiya Cruise, we aim to provide our guests with a smooth, transparent, and enjoyable Nile sailing experience. Kindly review the following booking, cancellation, and travel policies before confirming your reservation.

Booking Policy

  • 25% deposit of the total cruise price is required at the time of booking confirmation.
  • 50% payment of the total cruise price is required 60 days prior to embarkation.
  • Full payment must be completed 45 days prior to embarkation.

Reservations remain tentative until the required deposit is received. Final confirmations and travel documents will be issued after full payment.

Cancellation Policy

  • Free cancellation for bookings cancelled more than 90 days before embarkation.
  • 25% cancellation fee for cancellations between 90 and 60 days.
  • 50% cancellation fee for cancellations between 60 and 45 days.
  • 100% cancellation fee for cancellations made less than 45 days before embarkation.

No refund will be provided for unused nights, meals, excursions, or services not utilized during the cruise.

Refund Policy

Approved refunds will be processed according to the cancellation terms mentioned above. Refunds will be issued using the same payment method whenever possible. Please allow 14–30 working days for the refund process to be completed depending on bank procedures and international transfer regulations.

Bank charges, transfer fees, and currency exchange differences (if any) are the responsibility of the guest and will be deducted from the refundable amount.

Child Policy

  • Children under 5 years old may stay free of charge when sharing parents’ cabin (maximum one child).
  • Children from 5 to 11 years old receive a 50% discount when sharing parents’ cabin.
  • Children aged 12 years and above are considered adults and will be charged the full rate.

Due to the nature of Dahabiya sailing boats, parents are fully responsible for the safety and supervision of their children at all times.

Cruise Inclusions

  • Full board accommodation starting with lunch on embarkation day and ending with breakfast on disembarkation day.
  • All-inclusive soft beverages including tea, coffee, soft drinks, and daily high tea service.
  • Guided sightseeing excursions as per the confirmed itinerary.
  • Professional English-speaking tour guide during scheduled visits.

Additional Services

  • Airport or hotel transfers can be arranged upon request at an additional cost.
  • Private Egyptologist guides are available upon request for personalized cultural experiences (extra charges apply).

Itinerary Amendments

Dahabiya Cruise management reserves the right to amend cruise itineraries due to navigational requirements, weather conditions, Nile traffic regulations, or technical reasons. All changes will be made in the best interest of guest safety and comfort.

Force Majeure Policy

Dahabiya Cruise shall not be held responsible for any delay, change, or cancellation of services due to circumstances beyond its control. These include but are not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather conditions, government decisions, political events, strikes, pandemics, Nile navigation restrictions, or any unforeseen operational issues.

In such cases, the company will make every effort to provide suitable alternatives or reschedule services when possible. Additional costs resulting from force majeure situations may be the responsibility of the guest.

Privacy & GDPR Policy

At Dahabiya Cruise, we respect the privacy and personal data of our guests. All personal information collected during the booking process is handled with strict confidentiality and used solely for reservation management, travel arrangements, customer communication, and service improvement.

By confirming a booking, guests agree to provide accurate personal information such as full name, nationality, passport details (when required), contact information, and travel preferences. This data may be shared only with trusted partners such as hotels, transport providers, Nile navigation authorities, and government tourism authorities when necessary to complete travel services.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.

Guests have the right to request access, correction, or deletion of their personal data at any time in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for European Union residents.

Personal data will not be sold, rented, or used for marketing purposes without guest consent. By using our website and booking our services, guests agree to our privacy practices.
